Where Research Meets Real Life
Governance & Evidence Review (G&ER) is an independent governance and public policy research institution focused on making policy, governance, and institutional systems more understandable, accessible, and connected to everyday life.
G&ER translates complex policy systems, institutional dynamics, and public-sector decision-making into clear, evidence-informed analysis that connects governance decisions to real-world outcomes and lived public experience.
We believe policy and governance discussions should not remain distant, overly technical, or disconnected from the people affected by them. G&ER works to make governance analysis more usable, relatable, and publicly meaningful by examining how institutional decisions shape affordability, economic opportunity, public services, mobility, accountability, and quality of life across communities.
Across governments, nonprofits, and research institutions, important work is produced on governance, accountability, institutional reform, and public administration. Yet much of that knowledge remains difficult to interpret, communicate, or apply in practice. G&ER bridges that gap by translating rigorous research into accessible analysis that supports better public understanding and stronger decision-making.
Our work draws on governance research, policy analysis, institutional evaluation, comparative practice, and lived experience to examine accountability, institutional reform, public-sector performance, civic technology, and evidence-based policymaking. Rather than treating governance as abstract, we connect institutional decisions to the everyday realities they shape.
Our Approach
Connecting Research to Everyday Life
G&ER believes research has the greatest impact when it is rigorous, accessible, and connected to lived experience. Our approach brings together governance and policy research, institutional analysis, and evidence-informed inquiry to examine complex public challenges and produce accessible insights that strengthen decision-making and deepen public understanding
