Amari K. Rivera is an urban policy researcher whose work examines how housing, economic development, and public policy shape opportunity and quality of life across cities and communities.

ABOUT AMARI

Amari is a policy researcher focused on equity, public health, and community-centered systems. Her work centers on understanding how policy decisions shape access to services and health outcomes across diverse communities, with an emphasis on translating both data and lived experience into more responsive and equitable approaches.
She brings experience across applied research and program delivery, including supporting NIH-funded public health studies, coordinating national clinical training programs, and working directly with underserved communities through community-centered engagement and public health support initiatives. Her work reflects a strong commitment to connecting research, community insight, and policy design, particularly in areas related to reproductive justice, health access, and community systems.

At G&ER, Amari leads Latin America research for the Policy to Pocket series, examining how housing, infrastructure, mobility, and public policy decisions shape affordability and access to opportunity across cities and communities.
